Why My Posts are in Small Batches. Part II

The smaller the piece, the easier and faster it is to prepare, package, deliver and consume… and easier to fix if it’s messed up. The small one’s flow — i.e. prepare, package, deliver, consume — is faster than the large one’s; with small batches, a ‘lean flow’ — needed for faster delivery of value — is achieved.

Relating back to my writing of my posts in small batches… it’s faster for me to prepare, put my thoughts in pint-size — easy to digest size thoughts, ready for posting at 5:00 AM EST for early reading… and if I need to make a change or see an error, I could quickly correct it.

Large batches yield exactly the opposite: too long a write-up will take a long time to prepare (creating a long queue of great ideas to write-up), package, deliver… and it will be too long a read for folks who have short attention span.

Best to keep things small — small enough nuggets of valuable ideas flowing through the system. Here is why: 1) it’s easier to digest; 2) faster time to market; 3) shorter queue of other ideas.

Apply this principle to everything you do … including transformational endeavors … where you take small — baby — steps towards your goal.

Why my posts are in small batches? Lean flow … short queue … speed to market… value realized sooner rather than later. That’s the ‘Why’ in a nutshell !
