This Oreo picture says it all... The smaller the piece, the easier and faster it is to prepare, package, deliver and consume... and easier to fix if it's messed up. The small one's flow -- i.e. prepare, package, deliver, consume -- is faster than the large one's; with small batches, a 'lean flow' -- needed for faster delivery of value -- is achieved.
