Get this: I’ve just heard today that some teams have sprints (team-level iterations) of 8 weeks long!?
Not sure why… but it looks like it is working for them.
My immediate thought: what happened to the fast feedback? 8 weeks for a single cycle or iteration of ‘Plan-Do-Check-Adjust (PDCA cycle)’ to me is a long time! What better things that could happen if it were iterations of two weeks long? How about this: faster feedback could happen… with it yields faster learnings! With the learning, we could use it to assess whether we pivot or persevere.
