Day 44. According to the father of quality, W. Edwards Deming: quality and management are linked... the efficient production of the quality the market expects. Improvement of quality is accomplished by better management of design, engineering, testing and by improvement of processes. Product Owners and Product Management build the right thing. Team members build the the thing right: design, build, test, and deploy with built-in quality. Scrum masters / flow masters (Kanban) improve the processes.

Low Quality is Expensive

A month ago, we've purchased three whole toilet bowl systems from a major hardware store; we paid $150 for each of the three to be installed. That's $450 just to install three toilet Bowls; I guess it is a huge effort to do so. They've sent one person to deliver and install these. During the installation, the installer informed us that the third toilet bowl is defective... the flush system is broken; I had to drive to the hardware store to get a replacement. Not cool. Two Simple Ideas For Achieving Higher Quality Connections And Interactions

1) Face to face is best when communicating! You get to see and feel all verbal and non verbal things, see facial expressions, laugh together instantaneously. In a group setting, try to standup / or sit down ... form a circle facing each other. Then have a conversation! Online? Get a laptop camera and turn it on during meetings! 2) In a group session, it is best to have no one dominating the conversation.
