You Master What You Teach

Study. Practice. Teach. These three things my students get to do in my classes... albeit in micro scale. You master what you teach... what a great truth this is. Teach back is one method. In pairs they teach each other one skill/concept/idea that they have just learned. Then share at a larger scale (group of four, then the whole class from a representative from each group of two or four). If you teach someone how to play chess, you have someone to play with. If you teach chess to few more people, we have more people to play with. Pretty soon, we can all have a tournament on a given weekend. And we all have fun playing chess together. Scrum is like chess. It has rules...and very teachable... it scales up to a lot of people. Teach one person on how scrum works. Then teach another one...and another one... And we all have fun delivering something of valuable together. Teaching rewards us all.
