My family and I planned our Saturday (June 8) in the USA's Capital, Washington D.C. with visits to various historic places upon arrival in the afternoon from Charlotte, North Carolina (a pleasant 7 hours drive). As we approached our hotel near the White House, we encountered police roadblocks preventing us from a direct approach to our hotel. We also saw lots of people walking towards a certain direction with flags, hats, clothings with multiple colors. We reckoned there must be an event around here... then we quickly realized -- because of the multiple colors -- that indeed there is one…
