Moneyball

Day 202.

The movie ‘Moneyball’ has a scene that caught my attention.

Apparently, some promising baseball players were overlooked because of bias against them: they don’t like how they look, they don’t like the way they hold the ball, etc.

Bias … we all have it… and we could be misreading a person due to our own bias.

We lose opportunities due to bias.

Engage in an open-minded conversation… what we think is true could be false and vice versa.

It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.
