Classes of Service — Work Flow Management for Kanban Part II

Day 21 of ‘Stay at home’ order.

Here is the second installment: Visualizing the “Work Flow” vis-a-vis the Classes of Service (CoS).

Using the Cost of Delay (CoD) as the prioritizing scheme [for understanding the demand and maximizing value delivered] and considering the team’s capacity are keys to success. Work Flow management with Kanban is a cinch: 1) visualize the “work flow” using CoS; 2) prioritize work [demand] using CoD; 3) pull work as team capacity allows.

Enjoy!
